OUR MISSION:
Our Nursing college are designed to prepare Nurses not only
to be skilled in bedside care but also to understand the Principles of Health
and prevention of disease, and to use these principles to bring health into the
lives of those to whom they minister.
Students will have experience in the development of health
teaching in the outpatient department and wards of a hospital, maternal and
child health clinics, home visiting both rural & urban areas and domiciliary
Midwifery in both rural & urban areas.
Rural experience is of exceptional value due to the fact that a
large proportion of our population lives in villages. The development of this
aspect if nursing education is of special importance at this time when many
plans for rural welfare are being developed in our country. This experience will
be valuable becoming familiar with and adjusting to the home conditions and
learning the background of the patient. The doctor makes the diagnosis and
prescribes treatment, but the total care of the patient is left to the Nurse.
Care must be comprehensive. We recognize that mental and
environment factors play an important part in health. Therefore along with the
custodial and technical care required by the patients the nurse is expected to
assume a supporting and counseling role, helping the patient to understand the
day to day problems affecting his health and to cope with them and working with
the patient and his family for the patient's adequate rehabilitation. BRIEF HISTORY:
Bhopal Nursing College in Bhopal Memorial Hospital & Research Centre was
established in Nov. 2003. It is recognized by M.P. State Nursing Council,
Indian Nursing Council and is affiliated to Barkatullah University, Bhopal.
This college is the first college offering B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) degree in
M.P. State. The college has well furnished Lecture halls with centralized A.C.,
demonstration halls, well equipped laboratories, modern hostel facility &
auditorium of 250 seats. It has a spacious Library, well equipped with
professional books, journals and well internet facilities. The hospital having
its huge green campus with all basic facilities and special security.
Bhopal Memorial Hospital is a 350 bedded super specialty hospital with 14 super
specialties and state-of-art equipment. The hospital is managed governed by
Bhopal Memorial Hospital Trust constituted by Supreme Court of India. It
provides free services to the gas victims of Bhopal Gas Tragedy. |
