ADMISSION CRITERIA

Admission Criteria of P.B.B. Sc. Nursing:

 To be eligible for admission to this course, a candidate shall have :

*    Passed the Higher secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in on before 1986 will be eligible for admission.

*   Obtained a certificate in General nursing and midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. With the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas:

# O.T. Techniques

# Ophthalmic Nursing

# Leprosy Nursing

# TB Nursing

# Psychiatric Nursing

# Neurological and Neuro surgical Nursing

# Community Health Nursing

# Cancer Nursing

# Orthopedic Nursing

      # Candidate shall be medically fit.

Must have at least three (3) years experience as a Staff Nurse in a hospital recognized by the State Govt./Central Govt./Private hospitals not less than 100 beds hospital. Candidate who have 2 years experience can also apply.

Candidate who have two years experience can also apply.

# PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING

Application for admission to the course is required to be submitted on the prescribed form (attached with the prospectus brochure, or download from the web site). For in-service candidates the applications should be routed through proper channel.The application complete in all respect to be sent to

# ENTRANCE EXAMINATION AND INTERVIEW

Entrance test will be held by the college before admission.Tentative schedule of  Examination is in month of July.The selection will be made strictly in order of merit.  The written test will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) in English language for 2 hours.

 a) The following subjects will be covered by MCQs:

*Fundamentals of Nursing

*Medical, Surgical Nursing including Anatomy and Physiology

*Maternal & Child Health Nursing

*Community Health Nursing including Nutrition

*General Knowledge

b) Maximum marks will be 100 (75 marks for written test and 25 for interview).

c) Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test.

 Then interviews will be carried out on the same day in the order of merit. (Respective merit list based on the marks obtained in the written)

 # ADMISSION

Candidates will be admitted after the interview.  Selected candidates will have to deposit the fees with in the stipulated period i.e. before 1st of July (on admission). Fees are not refundable.

# JOINING

The date of enrollment will be intimated to the selected candidates by post.  The in-service candidates must submit the relieving certificate and proof of study leave from their employers. 

# MEDICAL EXAMINATION

Candidate has to produce Medical fitness certificate at the time of admission. Medical fitness will be the precondition for admission.  The joining will be accepted after found fit by the medical board of the hospital.
