US
PHILOSOPHY:
We the faculty of the college of nursing believe that nursing is
a service oriented profession based on scientific knowledge which assists people
in achieving their maximum health potential.
Nursing is a service provided families and community for
prevention of disease and promotion, conservation, restoration and maintenance
of optimum health.
We believe that professional nurse is the one who possesses
intellectual competencies and professional skills acquired from physical,
biological behavioral sciences and humanities and research applied to the
practical field.
We recognize that nature of nursing is such that a substantial
portion of students learning is acquired in the clinical area through practice.
The faculty
further believe that nursing education has as its major purpose the development
of a broadly prepared self fulfilling concerned citizen secure to accept the
responsibilities of citizenship in his/her community, country and world with a
deep respect for those with differing cultures and values.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
1.To
provide a sound basic education in Post Basic B.
Sc. Nursing carefully selected students who wish
to prepare for service through nursing.
2.To
develop good citizens of India who will make a
worthy contribution to their profession,
community and nation.
3.To
develop Good character through study, work,
fellowship, and work ship.
4.To
provide opportunity for candidates, with the
required educational background, to develop
their personality, to prepare nurses with
adequate scientific foundations for rendering
intelligent and affective care to individuals in
the hospital and community and to develop their
potential towards the advancement of nursing.
