Department
of neurosurgery has performed more than 2000
neurosurgical operations from its inception since 22nd
February,2001. Various neurosurgeons have rendered their
services – Dr.F.B.Singh, Dr. Vyom Bhargava, Dr Ravi
Kumar and Dr. Sudhir Dubeyr. Presently, Dr.Nitin Garg
and Dr. Sandeep Sorte are neurosurgeons managing this
department.
The
department has 2 dedicated operating theatres and
separate ward with 32 beds. It is equipped to deal with
all major neurosurgical illnesses. It has the state of
art operating microscopes, cranial and spinal
endoscopes, pneumatic drills, C-arm, intraoperative
neurophysiological monitoring, stereotaxy and minimally
invasive instrumentation. Efforts are made to
incorporate newer techniques and equipment so as to
provide management options at par with other major
neurosurgical centers of India.

Upcoming
facilities:
We
would soon be offering surgical procedures for our
patients as Deep Brain Stimulation for patients with
Parkinsonism, tremor and dystonia and neuro-endovascular
procedures like coiling of aneurysms, tumors
embolisation, embolisation of arterio-venous
malformations, carotid artery stenting for stenosis and
intra-arterial thrombolysis and clot retrieval in
stroke.
